Give Back To Your Community

There are many reasons for donating funds to the Groveland Emergency Food Shelf. Not only are you helping families and individuals in need of food, your contribution is maximized to positively impact as many people as possible.

$20 buys emergency groceries for an individual for one month

 

$50 buys emergency groceries for a family of four for one month

 

$75 buys emergency groceries for a family of six for one month

 

$100 buys PPE equipment for volunteers and staff for a month

 

Groveland Food Shelf is made up of three programs: Neighborhood, the MCTC Food Pantry and a collaboration with Liberty Community Church in North Minneapolis.

In addition to monetary donations, we also welcome food donations.

Food to Donate

 

​All non-perishable food donations are welcome. The most popular items chosen by our clients are coffee, cooking oil, canned meats and fish, beans, and peanut butter.

How to Donate Food

If you would like to donate food, please call 612-871-0277 or email info@grovelandfoodshelf.org to schedule a drop off time or coordinate pickup for large food donations.

 

If you would like to hold a food donation drive on behalf of Groveland through your organization or employer, please contact us to receive a list of most needed food and household items and to coordinate donation pickup or drop off. We can also supply donation barrels.

Donations can be dropped off during our normal operating hours shown below as well as the following times:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: an hour before or after our operating hours.

Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 1100 a.m. or a half an hour before or after our normal operating hours shown below.

Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - Noon

 

Groveland also has numerous relationships with local grocery stores, restaurants and bakeries to pick up unsold or excess food. Occasionally these organizations conduct drives on our behalf as well. If you would like to learn more about this program, please contact info@grovelandfoodshelf.org

Groveland Food Shelf accepts personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hair care as well as household items such as dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper and paper towels

  • Hosted in the basement of Plymouth Congregational Church 

  • We are currently overwhelmed with requests for deliveries. We are presently not accepting any new delivery clients. You can ask someone to bring you or someone to visit the Food Shelf and shop for you.
